Secondary fabrication
Secondary Fabrication
Guantian performs cut-to-length sawing and routine punching in-house. Specialist partners handle additional fabrication. We confirm the process, critical dimensions and required delivery condition against the customer's drawing.

Cut-to-length sawing
Cutting aluminum profiles to the lengths specified for the order.
In-house & partner operations
We supply cut lengths, semi-finished profiles or fully machined components to order. In-house operations and specialist partner services are coordinated around the approved drawing and finish requirements.
At Guantian
Cut-to-length sawing and routine punching.
Through specialist partners
Established specialist partners handle drilling, countersinking, tapping, slot milling and 45° miter cutting. Complex CNC machining, bending and welding are also available through partners.
Dimensions & machining tolerances
The figures below describe our routine capabilities. Workpiece geometry, fixturing and the approved drawing determine the machining process and agreed tolerances for each order.
| Operation or characteristic | Range or condition |
|---|---|
| Cut length | 20–6,000 mm. |
| Cut-length tolerance | Within ±0.5 mm. |
| Square-cut end condition | Cut ends are perpendicular, flat and free from burrs. |
| Hole center-to-center spacing | ±0.2 mm for in-house punching and partner drilling, subject to the profile and agreed drawing. |
| Hole diameter | ±0.1 mm, subject to the profile and agreed drawing. |
| Partner CNC machine travel | 500–4,000 mm across the available partner equipment. The machine is selected to suit the component. |
| Critical CNC dimensions | Tolerances of ±0.05–0.1 mm can be achieved on critical machined dimensions, subject to the part and approved drawing. |
| Thread inspection | Tapped threads are checked with the applicable GO/NO-GO gauges. |
Machining & finishing sequence
We select the machining sequence according to part length, coating coverage and the approved drawing. Any permitted exposure of base metal on cut faces or inside holes must be confirmed before production.
Machine before finishing
Short components, or parts requiring coating coverage on cut faces and inside holes, are machined before surface finishing.
Finish before machining
Long profiles requiring only cut-to-length sawing or simple punching are generally finished first. Thick protective film and soft fixture pads help prevent scratches during machining.
Delivery condition & inquiry details
Cleaning, identification & packaging
Before shipment, machined components are deburred, cleared of aluminum chips and cleaned.
Parts are individually labeled by part number and packed by category.
Optional seal insertion
Simple rubber-seal insertion can be arranged on request for an additional charge, helping prepare components for installation after delivery.
What to provide
Provide the machining drawing, cut length, hole and thread requirements, critical dimensions, quantity and required delivery condition. Confirm whether cut faces or holes may remain uncoated, and identify any coating-coverage, assembly or rubber-seal insertion requirements.

Profile cut-end detail
A profile sample showing the cut face and cross-section geometry.
