Surface finishing
Surface Finishing
Guantian provides in-house powder coating and wood-grain transfer, with specialist partners handling anodizing and electrophoretic coating. We confirm the finish, service environment and acceptance criteria for each order.

Finishing routes & profile lengths
Our powder-coating facilities include vertical and horizontal production lines. Wood-grain finishes use heat-transfer and vacuum processes; anodizing and electrophoretic coating are coordinated through specialist partners.
| Process & location | Profile length |
|---|---|
| Powder coating & wood-grain transfer · in-house | Up to 6,500 mm under routine processing conditions. |
| Anodizing & electrophoretic coating · partners | Up to 6,000 mm under routine processing conditions. |
Oversized profiles, deep or narrow recesses affected by electrostatic shielding, and large or irregular cross-sections require a review of hanging fixtures and coating uniformity before production is scheduled.
Film thickness & acceptance
The values below are typical reference ranges. We agree on the final finish, inspection method and acceptance criteria for each profile and order.
| Characteristic | Range or inspection method |
|---|---|
| Powder-coating thickness | Typically 40–120 µm, or as agreed for the order. |
| Anodic coating thickness | Typically 8–25 µm, or as agreed for the order. |
| Thickness measurement | Film thickness is checked on samples from each batch using an eddy-current coating-thickness gauge. |
| Gloss & color | We use a 60° gloss meter and a colorimeter, together with visual comparisons in a standard light booth. Results are assessed against the customer-approved reference panel and agreed acceptance range. |
| Adhesion & hardness | Powder-coated parts undergo cross-cut adhesion and pencil-hardness testing. The cross-cut adhesion target is grade 0–1, with the test procedure and acceptance criteria agreed for the order. Coatings are checked for secure adhesion and freedom from peeling or blistering. |
| Visible surfaces | All visible decorative surfaces are inspected under natural diffuse light for uniform color and for runs, exposed substrate, bubbles, particles or scratches. |
Color matching & retained samples
Production follows the customer-approved color sample. Signed master panels and the agreed powder formulation provide the reference for repeat orders and consistency between batches.
- 01
Share a color reference
Colors can be matched from RAL or Pantone references, or from a physical color sample supplied by the customer. A trial panel is prepared for approval. - 02
Approve & retain the sample
The customer signs off on the initial sample before batch production. Two matching master panels are retained: one by the customer and one by Guantian's quality control team. - 03
Check repeat batches
Repeat orders and later batches are compared with the retained master panel using both a colorimeter and visual checks. The approved powder formulation remains the production reference.
Match the finish to the environment
Dry indoor use
For profiles used in dry indoor environments, specify the service conditions so an appropriate indoor polyester powder system can be selected.
General outdoor use
For typical outdoor building applications, the powder system, film thickness and pretreatment requirements are matched to the expected service conditions.
Coastal or severe exposure
Identify coastal salt exposure, strong UV or other severe conditions. Options include highly weather-resistant fluorocarbon powder coatings or higher-grade sealed anodizing. The process, film thickness and pretreatment requirements are confirmed for the project.
What to provide
Describe the intended indoor or outdoor environment, including any coastal or strong-UV exposure. Specify the finish and provide a RAL/Pantone reference or physical sample. Identify visible decorative surfaces and any film-thickness, appearance or surface-protection requirements so we can agree on the finishing and inspection plan.

Architectural powder coating commitment.
JOHO (Guangdong Joinhua Synthetic Material Co., Ltd.) has issued a conditional 10-year quality commitment to Guantian for the architectural metallic powder coating it supplies. The commitment requires the specified product TDS and referenced Qualicoat provisions for pretreatment, application, curing and process management, together with the stated GRM maintenance requirements. Without an identified project address and maintenance plan, the document limits the commitment to the powder itself and excludes an in-service warranty. Refer to the original Chinese document for the full terms.
This is a powder supplier’s conditional commitment. It is separate from Guantian’s quality management system certification.
JIADUOCAI S2010 powder warranty.

JDC2026042101 · Issued 21 April 2026
JIADUOCAI has issued a conditional 10-year outdoor weatherability and quality commitment for its S2010-series powder supplied to Guantian. Coverage is subject to the supplier’s application, project-approval, use, maintenance and exclusion terms. Where the project address and coating process have not been approved by the supplier, its responsibility is limited to the powder itself. Coverage for a specific order must be confirmed against the original terms.
